The wedding season is about to start and here’s beautiful dream wedding from last year in Stockholm for your inspiration.
A Calm (and delayed Champagne) Morning at Berns Hotel
The day started at Berns Hotel, where the bride got ready with her best friend and the makeup artist Claudia.
The vibe? Calm, happy, and full of excitement.
The bride went for a very natural look—light makeup that really let her shine through. And honestly, she looked incredible. Effortless and elegant.
There was just one tiny “issue”… champagne wasn’t allowed to be ordered until after 11:00. So there was a bit of waiting. But once it arrived—well, then it really felt like a wedding day.
Two Mornings, One Story
At the same time, across town, the groom was getting ready in their new apartment with his best man.
I started with the bride and then I left to capture the groom, capturing both sides of the morning—the quiet focus, the nerves, the laughs. Those moments are always some of my favorites. Nothing staged, just real life happening.
I also filmed small clips throughout the day, which later turned into a short wedding film. It’s something about those in-between moments that photos alone don’t always capture.
A Beautiful Ceremony at Gustav Vasa kyrka
The ceremony was held at Gustav Vasa kyrka at Odenplan.
And wow!
The bride’s dress and veil were absolutely stunning—classic, elegant, and exactly what you imagine when someone says “dream wedding.” When she walked alone down the aisle, everything just… clicked.
Rolls Royce, Grand Hôtel… and “Champagne”
After the ceremony, we stayed a bit for portraits in the church before heading out into Stockholm in a Rolls Royce (yes, as good as it sounds).
We made a quick stop at Grand Hôtel Stockholm because the groom had a plan—champagne for the ride.
Except… you’re not allowed to bring drinks out onto the street.
So instead, he came back with sparkling apple juice.
To be fair—it looked like champagne. Almost. 😉
And honestly, it made the whole moment even better.
Långholmen, Sunshine, and That First Party Feeling
We arrived at Carlhälls gård on Långholmen where all the guests were already there, mingling and enjoying the afternoon.
After a few group photos, everyone moved inside—and the venue is just incredible. Huge windows from floor to ceiling, beautiful light, and that perfect mix of relaxed and elegant.
Dinner was full of speeches, laughter, and songs—exactly how a wedding should be.
Sunset, Outfit Changes, and a Wild Dance Floor
Later in the evening, we snuck out for sunset portraits in the garden. Those quiet moments, just the two of them, right in the middle of everything—always so special.
Then the party started. For real.
The bride changed dresses not once, but twice. Each one with its own vibe.
The dance floor filled up fast and stayed that way. It turned into one of those nights where no one checks the time, and no one wants it to end.
The Kind of Wedding You Don’t Forget
I left around 01:00—completely exhausted and very, very happy.
This was one of those weddings that just had it all. Beautiful, fun, emotional, a little unpredictable—and exactly how a wedding should feel.
