Time to get married?

Are you looking for your wedding photographer?

Are you looking for a local wedding photographer in Fjällbacka?

I’m probably the most local wedding photographer in Fjällbacka that you can find for your summer weddings. I live there. No I don’t, or yes I do. I have spent all my summer life in Fjällbacka, I have a summer house there and my roots goes back to 1936 when my great grand father came to Fjällbacka and build his house on the island Dannholmen.

Tips from a local wedding photographer in Fjällbacka

A wedding day can look very different from couples to couples. Some wedding couples have a three day wedding. Some wedding couples only have a 1-2 hour wedding. It’s all up to you what you choose and what is suitable for you. My tips here are for you to see what a day can bring during your wedding. As a photographer I think the whole day is important to capture because in the end… all there’s left are the memories from your day and with the photos you can remember everything over and over again with your partner, your relatives and friends.

Preparations

I come to the bride or the groom about one hour before they should be ready for the next step. I walk between their rooms, here at the beautiful Stora Hotellet in Fjällbacka, to take photos of details and when they are getting ready.

First Look

On the way out to Badholmen with the red boat houses in the background, very typical for the Swedish West Coast.

Portraits

Here are some portraits from Badholmen in Fjällbacka. The jumping tower is a popular place to do the portraits with the brides maids and the grooms men.

Ceremony in the church

In Fjällbacka I think that half of the weddings are in the church and half are civil weddings. If you are going to have a civil marriage I highly recommend Anders Nilsson as your wedding officiant. He is great. I have been working with him many times and we had a discussion last summer about our couples and how the divorce rate is.IT IS 0%, so we think we are the perfect colleagues match for weddings. Take an extra look at these flower settings. Aren’t they amazing, from Dalblomster, near Hamburgsund.

Ceremony on an island

Here comes the bride and the groom with Anders Nilsson in his boat arriving to Florö. We were really lucky with the weather, it was only 22sec/m in the wind. 😉 We almost blew away. This couple had hired the fantastic Donalda too with Lisbeth and Torsten. The most lovely couple you can imagine. We have also done at least 10 trips together with wedding couples by now. You can always count on Donalda even during these windy days.

Mingle and congratulations

After the beautiful ceremony I take lots of pictures of your loved ones who wants to congratulate the wedding couple outside the church or the venue.

Dinner and speeches

This dinner was held at Stora Hotellet in Fjällbacka. Actually I also had my wedding dinner here, many years ago though. This place is amazing. The food is excellent and the staff is really service minded and helpful. Many of the wedding couples also stay here over the night during their wedding. As a local photographer in Fjällbacka I know most of the wedding vendors here and have a good relation with them.

Dinner at lovely barn

This place is called “Gården” and the owner is Alexandra Flament. A great woman to work with and she’s always happy and very service minded. Nothing is impossible for her. “Gården” is located between Fjällbacka and Kämpersvik.

Sunset pictures

If you choose a full day package I’ll be with you until the sun sets and at the party too. At the sunset, we walk outside and the couple will get a break from the dinner and all the guests. They will have a moment by themselves.

You never know about the wind on the West Coast – all we know is that it can be very strong!

Party

Some guests ask me: Are you staying for the party? And if I say no, I get the answer: – YES! Now we can start to relax. :)))

I think that is hilarious. Don’t be shy for the camera. These pictures are for the wedding couple to remember everything they couldn’t see during the day, everything that is going on behind the scene and all the details that is hard to see during the day when they’re caught in their love. They only have eyes for each other. I’m their third eye.
