Newborn photography at home

Family photography

A few weeks ago I went to one of my bridle couple from last summer to do a newborn photography at home. Baby number two was born. Congratulations!

If you would be interested in a newborn photo session at home, please get in contact with me on my contact page.

So if you would like me to do your newborn photography at home with a sibling there are a few things you can keep in mind to make it safe and nice. Here are some tips to think about before I’m coming to your place:

Choose a light area for your newborn photography at home

Use soft and natural colors for the clothes

2. Keep the room warm. Babies are used to being in a warm, cozy environment, so make sure the room you’re shooting in is at a comfortable temperature. This will help keep your baby calm and relaxed during the shoot. Use soft, natural colors for the clothes. When it comes to clothes and props for your newborn shoot, stick to soft and natural items like blankets, wraps, and pillows. These will create a comfortable and cozy environment for your baby.

Don’t feel stressed

3. Be patient. Newborn photography can take time, so be patient and don’t feel stressed. Take breaks as you need and be prepared to work around your baby’s schedule. They may need to eat, sleep, or have a diaper change during the shoot, no problem. The baby rules the world. 😉

Involve

4. Involve the 3-year-old brother/sibling. If your 3-year-old is going to be in the photos as well, try to involve him in the process. This will help him feel included and can create some lovely sibling moments in your photos. You could ask him to hold the baby’s hand or give him a gentle kiss on the forehead.

Plan your newborn photography at home

5. Always keeping a close eye on your newborn and ensuring that your 3-year-old is gentle and careful around the baby. With a little bit of planning and preparation, we will create beautiful and memorable newborn photos.

Your newborn will be documented forever

The goal of a documentary newborn photo session is to create a collection of images that tell the story of the baby’s first few days of life. We will create them in an honest and meaningful way. By capturing the natural moments and emotions of your family, I can create a powerful visual record of this special time that can be cherished for years to come.

Everyday life

If you’re considering a documentary newborn photo session, be sure to choose a photographer who specializes in this style of photography. It’s also a good choice to choose someone who has experience working with newborns. You’ll also want to discuss your preferences and expectations for the session ahead of time, to ensure that you get the results you’re looking for. Call me or send me a message so we can talk about your ideas and to book the session around your due date.

Newborn photography at home or in the studio

If you’re interested in a Posed newborn session I have my studio in Fredhäll/Kungsholmen with blanket, props and newborn clothes. The best time to do the newborn session is when the baby is 6-12 days old.

Have a nice day!
