To receive a message like this about a romantic wedding in Kalmar was not something I expected:
Hello Linda!
We are getting married on June 11th in Kalmar and we are looking for a wedding photographer. We really got hooked on you and your beautiful pictures! Are you possibly free that day and can imagine photographing our wedding?
That’s a dream request. Thank you Emma & Emil for sending me this email and to trust me to your beautiful wedding and it all turned out to a very romantic wedding in Kalmar.

The bride is getting ready
Kalmar Slott is a beautiful castle from the 12th century and has around 150 000 visitors every year and they have had weddings since 1276!
Most of my weddings starts with the bride getting ready and then I run over to the groom’s nest for a while to photograph them too.
Here are the girls at Studio Zara at Kaggensgatan 38 in the center of Kalmar, perfect place to get ready for your day!

The groom is getting ready
The men were busy at Calmar Stadshotell with champagne and tying the bows and the groom’s tie.

The First Look at this romantic wedding in Kalmar
After all the preparations we went to the park around the fancy Art museum in Kalmar. We placed the groom on the little bridge over the pond and then we let bride come behind him and surprise him. I could definitely see the tears in his eyes from 20 meters distance. Oh so romantic!

Portrait session outside the Kalmar Castle
This couple chose to do their portraits before the wedding ceremony but you can do it after the ceremony too. It normally depends on what time you are getting married on the day. Have you checked if you have time to do your portraits before the ceremony or after the ceremony?

Romantic wedding ceremony in Kalmar
A small, small castle chapel in the heart of the Kalmar Castle and oh so beautiful.

Dinner and speeches
Amazing dinner and amazing friends. These speeches were incredible, I laughed and I cried.

Romantic wedding in Kalmar ends with sunset pics
This amazing day finished up with some sunset pictures outside the Calmar Stadshotell. At this time of the day, when I do the sunset pictures, is so appreciated from the wedding couple. They always come afterwards and they say: That was a well needed pause for us during the evening. A few minutes for ourselves, a moment of silence and just the two of us.

Happy End!
